Özyeğin University wins the CFA Investment Research Challenge Turkey and places "First" for the Fourth Time

Özyeğin University won the CFA Investment Research Challenge Turkey 2022 and qualified to advance to the regional competition to be organized abroad. The CFA Investment Research Challenge Turkey is an annual competition organized by the CFA Institute, one of the world’s most renowned financial institutions, under the auspices of CFA Istanbul Society.

The CFA Investment Research Challenge Turkey was brought to life by the CFA Institute with the aim of preparing young talents equipped with world-class skills and competencies for the Turkish capital markets. The challenge also contributes to providing the qualified professionals much needed by the sector as it both arouses interest, and builds on knowledge and experience in the field of finance.

42 teams competed in the competition where students prepared company valuation reports under the guidance of their academic and sectoral mentors. The OzU team was placed first after a thorough evaluation conducted by seasoned CFA charter holders.

Özyeğin University shared first place with Koç University, and the top two teams qualified to advance to the international grand final. The OzU team made up of the Faculty of Business students Ahmet Arıcı, Ahmet Sevinçli, Buse Aslan, Mikhail Matyushenko and Emre Tuğhan Demirel attended the regional competition held abroad as the Özyeğin University Faculty of Business Finance team.
